Chris Cornell cancels Made in America fest appearance, citing “scheduling conflict”

He dropped out of Sunday’s show in Philadelphia citing “a scheduling conflict.” (Pearl Jam will still be headlining, but Cornell’s decision dashes hopes for a Temple of the Dog reunion.) It’s unclear whether the cancellation is linked to the Obama campaign rally he’ll be playing in Des Moines the day before.

UPDATE: Cornell tweets, “Woke up to learn some people fucked up. I pulled out of the MIA Festival 2 weeks ago….” and “…I apologize to my fans that you were not told and bought tix. I will find a resolution and get back to u.”
