Last night: Foo Fighters won a bunch of Grammys, talked about recording in the garage sans computers, played a couple times.
Not particularly funny, but: Foo Fighters did the Top 10 on Letterman last night. (H/T GrungeReport.net)
Foo Fighters 2012 Grammy promo
Grunge at the Grammys flashback! Eddie Vedder, accepting the award for Best Hard Rock Performance for Pearl Jam’s “Spin the Black Circle,” Feb. 28, 1996: “I’m gonna say something typically ‘me’ on behalf of all of us. I don’t know what this means. I don’t think it means anything. That’s just how I feel.”
We are the Susan Lucci of the Grammys. We’re tied with Megadeth. We are both nominated again this year, so if they win, and we lose, we’ll be the band with the most nominations without a win.
In advance of tomorrow night’s big show, the Seattle Times publishes a very basic, color-coded guide to grunge and the Grammys. (The article it accompanies, on Northwest nominees’ Grammy chances, is here.)
