August 19th, 1990 - Poster from a Nirvana show at The Casbah in San Diego, California. It advertises Chad Channing as being a member of Nirvana but at this time, he had already been removed as a member of Nirvana. Dale Crover was the current drummer.
Robin Williams and Krist Novoselic in World’s Greatest Dad (2009).
When asked if he would reunite with the surviving members of the band in the future, he replied: “Yeah, if they wanted me to. It’d maybe be something like Dave playing guitar and singing and Krist doing bass. That’d be about the only arrangement I could think of that we cold pull off.”
Obviously, I wish it was a situation where no one but Kurt Cobain was ever playing Nirvana songs. But that’s unfortunately not the case. I was a very ancillary part of the night, but I can’t imagine for those guys and for the family and for Courtney, for everybody, it just seemed like… the wound was still quite raw.
Thank you Eddie Vedder for speaking up for peace in our world…. The people of Palestine and Israel deserve peace and prosperity. It is time to stop repeating the same old arguments, dogma and hate speech. It is the knuckleheads on both sides that should be criticized and not the singer from a rock band.
Arguably the nicest guys to survive the grunge era: Krist (Nirvana, Sweet 75, Eyes Adrift), Paul (Ministry, Blackouts, Lard, Revolting Cocks, Pigface, USSA, 1000 Homo DJ’s), Steve (Mudhoney, Green River), & Buzz (Melvins, Fantomas, Venomous Concept) hugging it up after Buzz’s solo acoustic show in Portland. Buzz is putting on his best “I hate having my picture taken” face.
