I can’t vouch for the veracity of this post, but it would seem to indicate that the rumors about Dave Grohl directing a Soundgarden video are true. I reached out to blindlazarus, but have yet to hear back. If anyone has additional info, please contact me!

Zoom The Sun is reporting that Paul McCartney will “front a Nirvana reunion” at the 12-12-12 Sandy benefit tonight. Rumor has it they’ll be playing a new song, not Nirvana material, so—even overlooking the absence of Kurt—calling it a “Nirvana reunion” is a stretch. And it’s not like Grohl, Novoselic and Smear haven’t all played together in recent years.Also, the story’s quotes from Macca sound totally fake: “I didn’t really know who they were. They are saying how good it is to be back together. I said: ‘Whoa? You guys haven’t played together for all that time?’ And somebody whispered to me: ‘That’s Nirvana. You’re Kurt.’ I couldn’t believe it.”
