Zoom ologymusic: New Pearl Jam-Themed ‘Hamlet’ Production Premieres Off-Broadway At long last, someone had the ingenious idea to combine two of my all-time favorite things in the world: William Shakespeare’s Hamlet and the music of Pearl Jam. I promise it makes more sense than you might think. If you’re in New York City this week and looking for something interesting to check out, I’d adamantly suggest checking out A King Of Infinite Space, a new “rock and roll adaptation” of Hamlet that just premiered at the HERE production house last night. Fusing the music and themes from American rock icon Pearl Jam’s ground-breaking album, Ten, with a gritty Lower East Side dynamic, this concert event relates Shakespeare’s 17th century literature to 21st century New York City.
