Thank you to everyone who came to the Everybody Loves Our Town: An Oral History of Grunge launch event at powerHouse Arena in Brooklyn last night. It was so much fun! Special thanks to the excellent discussion leader, Rob Sheffield (who somehow managed to work the 1993 Sharon Stone film Sliver into the conversation), and the folks at powerHouse!

There’s a nice write-up of the evening, plus some pix (please note: I was peer-pressured into drinking that Bud tall boy), at LocalBozo. Stephen Tow, author of the upcoming book The Strangest Tribe, which covers the pre-grunge Seattle scene, also had some kind things to say about the night. And Lizzy Goodman writes about the event (sadly, it wasn’t as fabulous as the reading she went to the night before) over at MTV Hive.
