This blog is suddenly trending—probably as a result of my zealous coverage of Nirvana’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction—so I figured I’d take this opportunity to introduce myself to all my new followers.

Hello, people! My name is Mark Yarm, and I’m the author of Everybody Loves Our Town: An Oral History of Grunge, a Time magazine book of the year. (BTW, I am not Mark Arm of Mudhoney—people think I’m kidding when I throw that out there, but the name thing has caused some confusion over the years.) I cover all things grunge (not just Nirvana) on this blog. I’m currently a freelance writer for magazines like Wired and Rolling Stone, so I also share my non-grunge writing on here from time to time.

Hope you enjoy! Be sure to peruse the extensive archive. And, while you’re at it, why not pick up a copy of the book? A Finnish edition just came out, and a Chinese version is on the way. Plus, a deal’s in the works for another foreign-language translation, the details of which I will reveal soon.

Finally, please like the ELOT Facebook page and follow me (@markyarm) on Twitter. Thanks!

Minulla on jännittäviä uutisia!

The Finnish edition of Everybody Loves Our Town: An Oral History of Grunge is coming out in March via Like Publishing. The Finnish title translates to Everyone Loves Seattle: Grunge Story, at least according to Google. More info here.

Also, if you haven’t bought one of the English-language versions of ELOT yet, what are you waiting for?
