Our first show outside of Seattle was in Portland, at the Satyricon, which was the iconic punk club back then. And I will never forget, we were opening for the Walkabouts, and they had a marquee at this club. And we were excited to drive down there and see our name up in lights, and there it was: THE SKIN YARDS. (Laughs.) Which kind of took a little of the menace out of the name, we thought.
