A skit from Dave Grohl’s week-long guest-hosting gig on Chelsea Lately. Dave’s a charming motherfucker, but the writing here is beyond lazy. A fat Elvis gag? A white Michael Jackson joke? Come on. I did enjoy Chuy’s turn as deadmau5, though.

So, um, remember that hot minute on Wednesday when it looked like hey, maybe Sonic Youth aren’t really gone forever because, look, Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore have maybe put aside enough of their differences to record YOKOKIMTHURSTON, a collaborative new album with Yoko Ono that’ll hit stores and playlists on September 25? Remember that? I wouldn’t get your hopes too far up, fellow Sonic Youth fanatics—surprise, surprise, it looks like Thurston’s got another (maybe) full-time gig.
